Mountain District Student Leadership Summit
Date/Time: Sunday, June 13th, 8:00 – 12:00 PM (Tent)
Description: Student Leadership Summits (SLS) are events entirely planned by students, for students. The Mountain District is pleased to provide an opportunity to connect with students, faculty, and professionals from around the Western & Mountain Districts. Planned events typically include presentations, technical tours, competitions, and networking. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet new people, get your name out, and learn about developments in the transportation industry. Registration for SLS is FREE for ITE International student members.
Annual Meeting Survival Guide
Date/Time: Sunday, June 13th, 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM
Description: During the break between the SLS and Kell Competition, come learn about how to make the most of this year’s Annual Meeting with a discussion about networking and professionalism. Participation will help earn points for your school towards winning the Student Chapter Annual Meeting Award!
James H. Kell Student Design Competition
Date/Time: Sunday, June 13th, 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM

Description: All students are invited to participate in this mystery design challenge created by your peers! Students will compete in a team design challenge for prize money. No registration necessary. Teams will be formed on the day of the challenge and consist of students from different schools and ITE districts. Participation and placement will help earn points for your school towards winning the Student Chapter Annual Meeting Award!

First time at an ITE District Meeting? Don’t worry! Join us at our First Timer Social to meet some of our ITE VIPs and other first time attendees.
Get Acquainted Social & Cornhole Tournament
Date/Time: Sunday, June 13th, 5:30 – 7:30 PMThen had on over to the Get Acquainted Social in the Exhibit Hall. This welcome event will include a cash bar and complimentary appetizers. A perfect opportunity to get to know many of the ITE leaders and reconnect with old friends. During this event we will also be hosting a Cornhole Tournament in true Mountain District style as a fundraiser for our students!

Student Chapter Recap Luncheon
Date/Time: Monday, June 14th, 11:30 PM – 1:00 PMDescription: Join us at the student/faculty luncheon for a chance to network with students from other universities over lunch. This event will feature the Student Chapter Recap presentations where chapters will share their accomplishments and challenges over the past year. Presenting will help earn points for your school towards winning the Student Chapter Annual Meeting Award!
Student Leadership Workshop
Date: Tuesday, June 15th, 8:00 – 9:30 AMDescription: Come swap ideas with other students as you plan out events, sponsorship packets, and membership recruitment and retention for the fictional Wallaluga University ITE chapter! Participation will help earn points for your school towards winning the Student Chapter Annual Meeting Award!
Mountain District Student Traffic Bowl
Date: Tuesday, June 15th, 1:30 – 3:00 PM (Tent)Description: Join us in cheering on our Mountain District Student Chapters competing in the Student Traffic Bowl. The winner of this competition will go on to represent the Mountain District in the International competition!

Relax, share experiences, and network with fellow young professionals in a casual and welcoming atmosphere. This event is intended for young professionals working in the industry, ages 21-35. Career Guidance Session – Ethical Dilemmas in the Workplace
Date: Tuesday, June 15th, 10:00 – 11:30 AM
Description: Ethical dilemmas are an inevitable element in decision making. These situations occur when a difficult choice has to be made between two courses of action, either of which entails violating or compromising ethical standards. Our goal with this session is to explore this topic with a focus on recognizing and defining ethical dilemmas/issues, understanding differing perspectives in workplace situations, developing viable alternative courses of action and constraints, assessing alternatives, and enhancing the ability of attendees to work toward satisfactory resolutions.
Student Chapter Annual Meeting Award
Date/Time: Points awarded throughout the conference; the winning chapter will be announced at the States Luncheon on Wednesday, June 16th.
Description: An overall Annual Meeting Award will be presented to the student chapter who has the highest participation and performance at the annual meeting. Points will be awarded for general attendance, participation in student events, and volunteering throughout the conference. Points do not rely solely on which chapter has the most attendees!
