2004 MID-YEAR BOARD MEETING SUMMARY
- Award $1,000 to the Washington Section for student initiatives in recognition of the sections outstanding efforts in hosting the successful (technically and financially) 2003 Joint District 6/International Annual Meeting in August.
- Fund an annual request for proposals of student chapters for developing the Annual James H. Kell Student Competition format, to the level of $1,500 of travel costs to the District 6 Annual Meeting. This year the University of Idaho has been awarded $1,500 for developing and delivering the remote control car traffic signal timing competition for this year's Sacramento District 6 Annual Meeting and their volunteer efforts to support the 2003 Annual Meeting in Seattle. - Fund a Data Collection Program aimed at providing funds for student chapters for travel to the District's Annual Meeting and developing mentoring relationships with retired ITE members. This program will fund $1,000 to $2,000 grants through a request for proposals to be issued March 1, up to a maximum of $5,000. The proposals will be due April 1 and the awards made April 15 with the data collection efforts completed by mid-June 2004. More details about this program will be available on this web site later in February.
