Advertising

WesternITE has two forms of advertisements available: Position Available Advertisements and Professional Directory Advertisements.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE ADVERTISEMENT

Positions Available advertisements (ads) cost $1.50 per word, this includes web posting and print on our Western ITE newsletter. There is a $100.00 minimum placement charge. Pricing is for one issue of WesternITE and two months on the WesternITE web page. Should an advertisement for a position ad be placed on the web site but have a closing date prior to the anticipated distribution date of the next issue of WesternITE, the ad will not be published in WesternITE (but there is no discount). Ads must be transmitted only by electronic copy (Word format only please) via e-mail. If you would like to post a job opening please e-mail Nate Larson.

We prefer payment by credit card.  Only Visa and Mastercard are accepted at this time. Payment can be accomplished by filling out the billing form and FAXING it to Nate Larson, 303.293.8585, with your position advertisement Word file (you can also call Nate Larson with this information). Invoices are issued upon placement of the ad and due within 30 days.

Advertisements are printed based upon the deadline scheduled noted below. Web postings typically take two to four days to post.

Please include a contact person and we will email you an invoice for your approval. Please note that Positions Available listings will be posted on the WesternITE web site and in the bi-monthly WesternITE newsletter unless: 1) otherwise requested; and/or 2) the closing date of the position would occur after WesternITE newsletter would be distributed to members. No advertising is posted or inserted until either the invoice is approved via e-mail or payment for the advertising is received.

POSITIONS AVAILABLE DISPLAY ADVERTISEMENTS

For customized position ads, pricing is set at $675 for up to a half page and $337.50 for up to a quarter page per issue. All art/text work for these advertisements is required from the customer in high quality .jpg format.

PROFESSIONAL SERVICES DIRECTORY ADVERTISEMENTS

Professional Services Directory insertions are made on a one-year (6 issue) calendar year contract rate. The rate is $200.00 for the first 7 lines (minimum charge), and $40/year for each additional line. For example, and 8-line listing would cost $240.00 per year. Current customers are invoiced in the fall of each calendar year for the coming year, with payment due within 30 days. New advertisers may send a check (pro-rated for the remaining issues in the calendar year) with their advertisement text (in Word format) and we will place their advertisement in the next available issue of WesternITE (and on the web site within 2 to 3 weeks if they choose the web site option). Invoices must be paid by January 31 or the ad will be dropped from the March/April issue of WesternITE. For more information contact Nate Larson.

Professional Services Directory (PSD) listings are also available on the WesternITE web page (www.westernite.org) at an additional cost of $120.00 per year.  This includes display of your company's logo and a hyperlink to the company's website. PSD advertisers must provide logo in .jpg or .tif format and the web link (along with payment) to benefit from these features. Billing for this feature is done concurrently with the WesternITE newsletter Professional Service Directory.

PUBLICATION FREQUENCY AND DISTRIBUTION

WesternITE is published six (6) times a year:  January-February, March-April, May-June, July-August, September-October, and November-December.  Issues generally reach the readers by the middle of the first month of each publication.  WesternITE is mailed to nearly 4,000 transportation engineering and planning professionals in the 13 western states encompassing District 6. The WesternITE web site is viewed by nearly 2,000 to 3,500 unique visitors each month with between 50,000 to 70,000 hits per month.

DEADLINES

The deadline for advertising is the first day of the month preceding the issue. For example, the deadline for the March-April Issue is February 1st . A listing of the advertisement deadlines for each issue is provided below. Ad insertion after this date will only be accommodated if it is possible to insert an advertisement within the normal publication distribution schedule.
