CALL FOR ABSTRACTS. The deadline to submit abstracts to the Local Arrangements Committee (LAC) has passed.

The LAC is developing a highly diverse and interesting Technical Program and will have presentations in many new and emerging areas of general interest. Some of the topics for the Technical Program are listed below.

  • Green House Gas Emission Reduction Strategies
  • Transit Oriented Development
  • Context Sensitive Solutions and Complete Streets
  • Transportation and Land Use Policies
  • Managed Lanes: HOV/HOT Lanes and Congestion Pricing
  • Transportation Safety (all modes)
  • Transportation for Elderly and Disabled Community
  • Expert Witness and Legal Issues in Transportation
  • Managing Transportation in Challenging Economic Times
  • Pedestrian/Bicycle Planning and Design
  • Transit Planning, Design, and Operations

  • Information Gathering and Dissemination to Users
  • Data Mining and Web Applications for Transportation

* It is anticipated that at least one session with 3-4 presentations from young and aspiring students will be included in the program.

The deadline for abstracts was January 4, 2010.

Selection of abstracts and notification to the authors will be made by March 15, 2010. If your abstract is selected for presentation, you must submit a complete paper by April 19, 2010 to be included in the compendium.
