CALL FOR ABSTRACTS. The Local Arrangements Committee (LAC) is now accepting abstracts for presentations at the 2011 ITE Western Annual Meeting in Anchorage, AK July 10-13, 2011.

The 2011 Alaska ITE LAC is seeking papers on the new and ongoing issues or technologies in the field of transportation engineering, planning and operations.  We hope that you will take this opportunity to share your research and case studies with your fellow professionals.  Here are some suggestions, but please feel free to submit any topic you believe to be beneficial.

*Students with interest in the transportation field are encouraged to submit abstracts. It is anticipated that at least one session with 3-4 presentations from young and aspiring students will be included in the program.

To submit an abstract of your technical paper for consideration, fill out the Abstract Submittal Form in Microsoft Word and preferably convert to .PDF before submitting.

Abstracts must include the following elements:

  • Title of the paper/abstract
  • Presentation topic area (from list or suggested)
  • Lead author and contact information (name, organization, address, telephone number and e-mail address)
  • Supporting author name(s)
  • Abstract text (maximum 250 words)

 

General guidelines for submitting an abstract:

  • Use 12-point Arial font, single space.
  • If an abstract is being written by multiple authors, a lead author must be designated. Unless otherwise indicated, lead authors are expected to make presentations at the Annual Meeting.
  • Download the electronic abstract submittal form here. It is required that all abstracts are submitted via e-mail in PDF (preferred) or Microsoft Word® format.
  • When submitting an abstract via e-mail, the Subject Line must read “2011Abstract-Author’s Last Name.” For example, a submittal by Mr. Smith would have a Subject Line “2011Abstract-Smith.” The file name for the attached abstract must also be the same “2011Abstract-Smith.doc” or “2011Abstract-Smith.pdf.”

 

Abstracts are due on Friday, October 1, 2010.

CONTACT US

Selection of abstracts and notification to the authors will be made by November 30, 2010.  If your     
abstract is selected for presentation, you must submit a complete paper by May 6, 2011 to be
included in the compendium.
