New Mexico Section sure
knows how to host an Annual Meeting! If you were not there,
you missed one of the greatest Annual Meetings I have ever
attended.
Under the leadership of Karen Aspelin,
the Local Arrangements Committee showed us the meaning of
New Mexican hospitality. Karen wanted us to feel right at
home. When our past President Rock Miller started the Annual
Banquet meeting in his office attire, Karen marched up and
cut off his tie!
And then there was food, food, and more food.
No one went hungry. Not only were there great meals--you should
have seen the great multi-track technical program along with
the technical tours and entertainment provided that we were
fortunate enough to attend. Karen even coerced her husband--who
is not in our field--into facilitating the vendor exhibits.

Steve Eagan (Technical co-chair), Tammy Haas (Family &Entertainment
chair), Nevin Harwick (Registration chair), Jerry Hall (Technical
co-chair), Craig Watts (Vice General chair), Faith Johnston
(Publicity chair) Derek Meier (Financial chair), Tim Simmons
(TechnicalTours chair), Steve Krest (TrafficBowl chair), and
Erik Aspelin (VendorExhibits chair)--did an excellent job
hosting our Annual Meeting.
